Sexual Reproductive Health Services
Access to quality user-friend sexual reproductive health services remains a big challenge to many young people and women in Uganda. We acknowledge government and NGOs contribution to increase access to SRHS, however due to the stigma attached to these services, poor altitude of service providers and limited financial support, majority of young people and women in informal and hard to reach settlements still finds it hard to access these services.
To address this challenge AFHI Uganda will provide the following services;
- Establishment of youth corners for easy access to SRH information
- Train health workers in provision of youth friendly SRH services
- Train young people and women in SRH and HIV/AIDS prevention packages.
- Strengthen SRH referral system and networks.
- Train senior teeachers, parents and local leaders in sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Parent to child communication packages.
- Train youth in and out of school in ASRH and behavior change communication and prevention of Child Marriages and teen pregnancies.
- upport out of school youth in income generation activities.
- Advocacy for access to SRH information and services.
- Prevention of child marriages and teenage pregnancies.
